Some of you were no doubt wondering why I, Owen Curtis, have not done any blog posts in, oh, say … the last two months.

Believe me, there’s a good reason.

You see, I didn’t wish to offend any of the fragile (with good reason) egos of the other competitors with the Rip City Championship tournament ongoing.

What do I mean? Well, it was far too easily to imagine their taking offense at the fact that by utilizing this blog, I would have had several additional chances to “get myself over,” as they say in the business. Now that the tournament is over, that is no longer a concern.

In fact, these next 28 days are going to be fun.

As you are all aware, I have been suspended from in-ring action for the next four weeks for the alleged act of attacking Brody “Lone Wolf” Thunder. As far as my thoughts on that … I’m going to hold off for a while. Consider it a “no comment” for the time being. A “no comment” FROM a reporter. How do you like that?

I’m not going to use this space talking about old Brody. Nor am I going to relive my recent matches with Paul Driscoll or Johnny Pleasance. Instead, I am all about looking to the future. And in that spirit, I will use this blog to comment on some of the more “underappreciated” members of the Rip City Wrestling roster — and you can take that as you will.

In fact, I am gathering my scouting reports right now, and you won’t want to miss the insights I am going to deliver. Soon. In a few days.

Oh, and don’t forget to tune into “On the Wire” this Thursday night. A bomb is going to be dropped — and it’s going to make Dan Spreadbury wish he’d suspended me from talking rather than wrestling.

By the way, Spreads, check the way I spelled “utilize.” This is America. The letter “z” is your friend, yo.
